ICC Caucus

The ICC-Caucus is a part of “One Voice Against Cancer“ check out what is currently on our agenda.  

The Caucus (ICCC) is the 501(c)(4) of the ICC (Intercultural Cancer Council)—-Mostly as a member of OVAC (One Voice Against Cancer) we lobby for increases on a yearly basis for NIH, NCI, and CDC.  Our goal is to ensure that these provide funding that further our efforts to eliminate the unequal burden of cancer among racial and ethnic minorities and medically underserved populations in the United States and its associated territories.  We have been very successful in our increases and meet by phone once a month to get these increases—–In December of 2015 we saw the passing of One Degree Legislation and it passed the largest increase for cancer research in over ten years.  This new funding will play a pivotal role in our ability to discover new cures and find new ways to prevent and cure cancer and will continue to increase in years to come
